Softball variations

Post by Paulsilas » Sat Dec 04, 2010 10:45 am

Most everything translates nicely from baseball to softball - one exception I noted - pitch selection - in fastpitch softball the common pitches are fastball curve rise drop and screwball - any chance of just adding an options button for the pitch selection or even the entire program that switches that tells the program it is a softball game team or entire program?

We will be adding softball pitch type options before the spring season - this request has come up several times. Thank you.

Our senior softball league plays with 11 defensive players. It would be great to have an option in the program to use 11 defensive players. The 11th player is a 5th infielder who plays over the middle near 2B.

We have this same thing in our 8U and 6U league. We call that position a short fielder.

We will add having 11 fielders to our enhancement list, but this is a request that has not come up very often. You can of course bat as many players as you like, so the only issue is that fielding stats would not be kept for the 11th player on the field.
