Hit locations manual input

Post by azerty11 » Sun Nov 28, 2010 5:42 pm

Hello,
I'm new with iscore, but we've been taking location hits charts for the past 3 years in our championship and I'd like to be able to manually input the location i already have on paper without having to recreate fake games by clicking on the location hits charts of each player.

Thanks in advance

Hit locations are tied to at bats, so in order to enter a hit location, you would have to enter an at bat. You could create a fake game and enter at bats for the players you want to capture hit locations for, but we don't have a way of entering a hit location without an at bat. We will add it to our enhancment list and see if others start requesting this as well. Thank you.

But then, the future batting stats would be altered by having fake stats, with obviously the fastest way to input the date, having everyone hitting 1.000.

Is it possible to do so, then get rid of the games later on and still keep the spray charts without the hitting stats?

Wouldn't it be possible to just add a table with the vectorial information of all the hits to add to the charts, for example through a csv file.

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work.

You could put the fake game in a league called "Hit Charts" and turn that league off when you want to view Stats Reports, but turn it on when you want to view just hit charts.

We have added the idea of entering historical hit charts to our enhancement list, and if others start requesting the same functionality, the priority will move up. Thank you.
