OhioTex, since you have a Mac, what are you using to design the image for the banner? I would like to have something like the example from the Jets or the Longhorns along with our logo. Also, I am trying to make my logo smaller, but it's still bigger than I want. I used iPhoto and set it to small. Thanks, you are a ton of help.

I have both PC and Mac, and am not really good at image and photo manipulation, sorry. Will let some one more graphic savy reply with better info....

( i do photo manipulation so infrequently, i always forget how and have to re remind my self how to do it. and then trial and error to the max. there are free online sites to re size images, and to create .. google that.. but i think on mac preview or iphoto can resize by pixel to as small as needed and iphoto should do basic editing. As for more advanced image creation, the standard is of course photoshop (and photoshop elements)

Sounds like me! Although now that I have a Mac, the video/photo editing goes a lot easier/quicker.

Been spending a couple weeks learning. Managed to get links of videos on the home page. However, I have been looking more and more into iWeb with the Mac and publishing via MobileMe. Seems like I could design an entire web sight doing this and just link it from the home page. Or could I IFRAME it? I don't really know how to do that....any help?

I think then I could easily publish photos, pages, documents, links to other pages, videos, maps of our tournament sites, etc... straight from my computer. Looks pretty cool and easy for someone not as web literate as others...

Thanks!

<iframe src="{put you web site URL here"} height="{set height}" width="{set width}" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Here is a good page for how to create an iFrame: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_iframe.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Outstanding, thank you! Is the music playing in the background (great pick BTW) coming from the wix website you created or did you load that into the homepage of the iscore website? Also, when you use Picassa, can you have multiple albums show up on that photos page or does everything have to be in one. I would like to have albums for each tourney and then parties, practices, etc...

Last question. How much online space do you get at wix? I have videos that are going to be uploaded so going to need some space.

All of the media is built right into the Wix page. They have the players pre built, you only need to upload the content. Drag and drop the player on the page and tell it which content to play. I haven't finished the page yet, but what is there only took about 20 minutes to do once I create my account. I haven't played around with Wix enough yet to know how much space I will need (or have.) Most of our content is either in Picassa or on Shutterfly. Trying to see if I can link my Shutterfly account through Wix. I like the presentation objects (flip book, scrolling, etc) better with Wix.

With the Team site, you can only have one Picassa album at a time. I plan to rotate albums in the photo section, but build buttons/pages to the other albums from the main page (on Wix).

Couple semi related things....

1) i imbed mobile me instead of picasa in my photo tab on team site, if you have questions o it, holler. But it too has the real annoying problem of not having sub folders... But for one mobile me album, it works real nice, set it up once and update straight from mac and iphoto. Easy maintenance. It gives you the same look and feel buttons as if accessed straight from your mobile me gallery but inside my team site... Again down sode only one qlbum per team site, no nesting of albums/folders ( a mobile me limitation not iscore).

2) if you are worried about video storage, utube is an easy free option, google, makes linking/embeding html into any custom web site, like team site home page or wix i assume...no storage limit..

3) i have used iweb (with domain bought through go daddy and the standard domain from mac/mobile me). Iweb comes with the mac and is user friendly, that said the wix site looks good and easy too ... Iweb works well with ilife of course, drag and drob iphoto and i movie files easily as you expect.

4) I have not tried to integrate ftm team site into an iweb site .. because i have opted to maintain seperate team web sites for my multiple tea,s and not over invest in multi media o my team web site instead stick with the simple text editor on home page. Plus i have multiple sites and the 'export ' to update all model works real well for my needs

Just my 2 cents

Many thanks to all for the help. I decided to go with MobileMe and then used iWeb on my Mac. Very easy and highly recommended. Here's the link, http://baseball.iscorecentral.com/main. ... iagenerals" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I am leaving it unprotected this week if you want to take a look. Using iWeb allowed me to put in video placeholders which easily allow me to drop in the latest video. It also had an album page, photos page, blog, and easy to use widgets and such.

Mobile Me also gives me 20GB of storage so that should be good. (for this year!)

Would still like another page so I can put some of the pages accessible to the public and some behind the password protection.

Thanks fellas. Love the app, love the website, love the support.

Managed to get around the whole public/private by creating 2 websites in iWeb. So now I can separate what I want public and what I want private. Highly recommend using iWeb if you have a Mac and you are new to website design, it's pretty easy.
