Extra Hitter

Post by zbxd002 » Thu Oct 21, 2010 7:07 pm

When I make free substitutions in our lineup, the scorecard does not reflect a player becoming an extra hitter. For instance, if player 1 starts the game as EH and player 2 starts the game at 2B, and then in the 3rd inning, they switch. The scorecard shows player 2 going to 2B in the 3rd inning, but I get no "-" for player 1 on the scorecard. If player 1 then enters the game in the 4th inning as LF, it appears as though he played the first 3 innings at 2B rather than 2 innings at 2B, 1 inning as EH, and then finally to LF. What am I doing wrong?

"EH" is not a defensive position, it is just a batting designation. When you substitute player 2 in at 2nd base, it will show him as being at second base in the 3rd inning, and it would be implied that whoever was at 2nd base prior to that is no longer in that position.

If you want to see player defensive breakdowns by inning, you can view the Play by Play for a game on the Admin Website (Options->Admin Website on your device will show you how to get there). At the end of the Play by Play listing it will show each player in a grid with the position they played defensively by inning.

Ftm is right, batting and fielding are independent and as it sounds like batting subs are fine and look right, and EH should be a non factor, but the report out you describe for positions played does seem odd.

I assume 1) your are talking about positions played reported on the scorecard, not the new player position report table. 2) you know you can fix any sub miss during or after a game, go to game info screen and choose pitch by pitch...scroll to the correct plqce in the pitch by pitch log, and tap the event and edit button on substitutions

That just leaves how it happend and if it ks a reatable error

It sounds like you may have done the substitutiin in the fourth inning by misc starting line up, not taping the player icon on scoring screen.. Did you? If you did make the subs correctly, using substitution screen, and/or can repeat the error consistently, let me know and i will try and simulate, but my first guess is there was a miss entry in the sub tqp mechancis.. eh shpuld be a non issue.
