Option to hide pitch location chart

Post by KevinRees » Tue Oct 19, 2010 2:02 am

Would like an option to hide the pitch location chart on the team website game scorecard page as pitchers may not want competitors to be able to analyze their pitch locations. We currently have the statistics pages passworded mainly for this reason.

why not just password protect the games tab, like you do the statistics tab?

That's what I meant by "statistics pages" (plural) though I know I wasn't clear about that. I would the option to allow public access to the games page, but hide the pitch chart.

We will add this to our list. The challenge is that the pitch charts are part of the Scorecard PDF, so in order to hide the pitch charts, we would have to have them not print out on the PDF. That would mean we would need an option to decide if you want the hit charts to show or not show on the Scorecard printout, and then you would have to be sure the last email you send with the scorecard does not include the pitch charts.

Seems it can get very confusing for users. We will continue to think about what might be a better way to do it.
