"Pickle" button

Post by Stadtusquo » Sun Oct 17, 2010 12:34 pm

Any thoughts to creating a "Pickle" button? We had 2 instances where we were in "Pickles" and got out of both, though 1 went back to base he started on. This would show decent effort on keeping it going. I think I could probably do it via "pick off attempt", though I haven't tried.

Pick off attempt (runner in pickle safe) or Picked off (runner in pickle out) both work. It gets difficult to keep up with the fielders that handle the ball, but you can enter them and they get proper credit. I'm not sure how many fielders you can enter for one play. I haven't tested that.

There is no limit but may make the scorecard look funny if you do too many.

I forgot to mention that you can also enter a note that the play is a pickle situation if it isn't obvious from all the fielder's noted in the scorecard.
