4-3 or 6-3 Double Play

Post by skip314 » Thu Sep 30, 2010 9:58 am

I have to be missing something. Why is there no "4-3" or "6-3" double play listed when I swipe "OUT"? How do I score a 6-3 or 4-3 double play.

Also, is there a way to change the colors on the forum? When I search for keywords, they show up in white text with a yellow, highlighted background. I can't read the text. All I see is a yellow box and I have to guess what the word is.

You can enter a 4-3 or 6-3 double play by tapping:

Out
Ground Out
Touch where ball went
Next
Touch 2B, 1B (or SS, 1B)
Done
Out, Second, Double Play

You can change the colors of the forum by selecting one of the different themes. Click on "User Control Panel" in the upper right, then Board Preferences, and there is a dropdown with a few different themese there.

Ahhh. That makes sense. I was so focused on looking for "Double Play" as an option for how the batter got out (and eventually gave up) that I didn't see that it was an option for how the runner got out. I assume I have to wait for the next release if I want to fix this scoring mistake without undo-ing all the way back and re-entering the end of the game?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Actually, you should be able to go into Pitch by Pitch and go to the pitch where the double play was made, tap on that, and tap Edit next to the place where the Runner got out. You can change the way the runner got out to Double Play from there. There actually is a bug in the iPad version where saving the edit does not stick in some situations, and that is fixed in the release awaiting approval. If you have the iPhone version, this should not be a problem even in version 2.75.

Okay. Did that. Now it shows on the pitch-by-pitch that it was a double play, but I don't see "GDP" on the box score or on the player's individual stats.

When the next release is approved by Apple (hopefully any day now), try refreshing the stats for the game (it is a new options on the stat viewing screens on the device). If that does not work, let us know, and we will follow up more to figure out what is going on. We expect the next release will likely fix the issue.

Sounds good. Can't wait for the next version. I guess Apple has to sort through all of the fart apps before they can look at yours.

Thanks again for your continued attention to these issues. You guys are amazing.
