Email option on Player card

Post by brentwalker » Tue Sep 14, 2010 8:55 am

Have you considered adding an email button to the Player Card? I would like to request that if this is not on the list of feature requests, that you add it. It is the one question I get from other parents, "could I send them their son's information from tournament x".

For now, you can bring up the card, take a picture of the screen by hitting the top and bottom buttons at the same time, and then mailing out the screen you just captured (it will be in your Photos).

brent, i know it is on the FTM list (no clue rank).

in the interiu,...

the photo snap shot tip by JC is a good way to get the info out,
the other way is to leverage the team web site for stats and admin site for hit charts.

not ideal but ok workarounds for now..

Yes, these workarounds kinda work but they are really not acceptable for the following reasons:
1. The "take the picture snapshot" approach is pretty cool indeed however it only captures what is currently being displayed on the screen and actually misses half of the stats. While neat, it really does not work.
2. Team website approach is also cool, however if I created a team website for all of the teams my son played for I would be paying for 3-5 team sites on a yearly basis.

All I really want to do is to utilize the existing email functionality to send the player card to my email box similar to emailing the game data at the end of a game. Of course I would want all of the data sent that is displayed on the player card.

The player website has been very nice for my son but I really don't want to pay for team websites when no one really wants them, they just want a quick email after a game on what their son did.

Thanks for the workaround possibilities but that was not what I was hoping for! ;)

You can also get the full HTML table from the player card by holding a finger in the area the stats are displayed in for a second or two, and releasing, then tapping "Copy". Then go to your email on your device, and paste the table there. You can then send the full statistics for the player via email from your device.

We do have "emailing player cards" on our enhancement list, and will get to it as soon as we can.

Thank you.

Yes, I like that option, email is better and glad you have it on the list. I tried the same for the hit chart but that did not work. Thanks for the tip. I have already used it. Looking forward to the enhancement in a release.
