Changing Game Name Posting to Website
Changing Game Name Posting to Website
Hi, I scored a game using our 'old' team name and then did a sync to the server. This posted stats under our old team page. I went in and updated the team name under the Game Info section of each game, executed a new sync but the stats are not showing up on the 'new' team site. I would like to keep the new team's stats on their site, how can I do this? Thank you for your feedback.
Re: Changing Game Name Posting to Website
Your games need to include the team you used to purchase the team site..
Teams are assigned an underlying unigue team ID by the program when you create the team. Renaming the human readable name does not change the team Id. When you purchase a team site, the team site is "paired" with a specific team and the underlying team Id.

I suspected as much. Can they edit the DB to modify the ID? I purchased sites for both teams but now I have the new team showing up under the old team's site.....

Re: Changing Game Name Posting to Website
We can change your team website to point to a different team on your device, but an individual game that was scored can not be changed from one team to another team.

You may be in a pickle for the game you score with the old team name.
The standard solve is to rescore the game with the right team name.. (sorry)
(but if you Use the score card and iscorecast from the original game, re scoreing should go pretty fast..)
Alternatively if you have access to a second device, you can try a "workaround" .. I think you can data share the game from device 1 to device 2. Then delete game on device one. Then data share the game back from device 2 to device 1. In tmap return data sharing, you should be able to map the team to correct team. ( I have not tested this, but think it could work).
Be sure and export before you delete any games, then if something goes wrong you have a backup on server
Any chance you have a second device?

Thanks for the quick response. I do have another device.. I'll try to share the game with iPad #2 and see how that goes! Thanks again.
