Hosting a Tournament

Post by dotz » Sun Mar 23, 2014 11:16 am

Hello,

Brand new to iscore and to the forum.

I am hosting a baseball tournament in a couple months and will be using the iscore app to score the games and keep stats for the tournament. Thus far, I think I have everything set up correctly (teams, players, created a new league) but not too sure had a couple questions on how the exporting of stats works.

I want to keep stats for all 6 teams participating for all 11 games. I will be giving away prizes for Tournament top hitter, tournament to pitcher, and tournament MVP, and would like to be able to have stats calculated for all participants to help me determine who is leading in the respective categories.

I've done a couple test cases, and have exported the results, but can't seem to view ERA, AVG, etc for all the test games I've done...

My apologies if this is a simple duty, but I'm still learning how the app works.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers.

If you view the stats by going to Team Manager, selecting the team, then viewing the stats, it will automatically calculate the cumulative stats. You can email that report, and all the cumulative stats will be included as well.

The stats only calculate when the game is complete, or if you tap Recalc when viewing the stats for a game that is not yet complete.

If you are nto seeing the ERA or AVG, maybe you have inadvertently shut them off. See the "Rearranging / Picking Stats" section of the iScore documentation for information on selecting just the stats you want to see:

Thanks for the reply!

Is there any way to view the cumulative stats for all teams? For example, after 3 games have been played in the tournament, I would like to see who three leading hitters are in the tournament (AVG) for all 6 teams that have played, and same for ERA for pitchers.

Is there an easy way to view these stats or do I have to go through each team manually to find the player with the best batting average or ERA and then manually distinguish who the top 3 players in the tournament are?

Thanks again!

We have tournament / league sites that we offer to people that are running events. You can see an example here:

If that is the type of thing you are looking for, email your tournament details to sales@iscoresports.com, and we can get you set up.
