Tournaments

Post by LadyRR17 » Fri Feb 28, 2014 7:21 pm

How about adding a feature to add in actual tournaments to be played instead of a game by game addition. It's a pain having to wait until the actual tournament to enter each game being played. Give us an option to add a tournament and add in the scheduled games to that once they are received.

This would make things a whole lot easier to keep track of.

You can create your games any time you want. We are not quite sure what you are asking for here. You can create a game at any time if that is what you would like to do. Every game has a scheduled date. We recommend against pre-entering all the games because then if you have roster changes, you would have to update the rosters of all the games you entered ahead of time. It only takes about 30 seconds to create a game once the teams exist. So our recommendation is actually to create all the teams ASAP, but wait until game day to create an actual game. Again, that is just our recommendation and not required however.

I think I understand the idea.. Asking for the ability to create , A tournament placeholder under game manager that you can enter in advance and then durimg tournament 'open up' and add exact games as they are known.

What I do is create leagues for my tournaments in advance and then create games as we go. the pool play games I may enter a few days ahead , and bracket games as they are known.

What I do not do is use iScore as my schedule tool. It is not. I use Iscore to score games and track stats. I use my team calendar for schedule and communication.

I would not confuse the two. Iscore game manager and league manager (filter) does what it needs to do to keep a list of games . I would not prioritize more schedule like functionality in iScore .
