Ball / Strike Entry - Use Volume Buttons?
Ball / Strike Entry - Use Volume Buttons?
Would like to ease of ball / strike entries so that the screen doesn't need to be referenced. Any chance of using Volume Up for balls and Volume Down for strikes?

Re: Ball / Strike Entry - Use Volume Buttons?
Apple will reject any application that tries to use built in controls for any purpose other than the one they were meant for. So this would not be possible.
There are also two options this would not handle... swinging strike (swiping the Strike button marks a strike as "swinging") and intentional ball (like a pitchout or intentional walk which is done by swiping the Ball button).
We will put it on our list for future enhancements to come up with a way to enter balls/strikes without having to look at the screen, but we assume this means you are not tracking pitch location either? Pitch locations would obviously require looking at the screen anyway, but we understand that not everyone will be tracking pitch locations.
Thank you.
