Scorebook question

Can someone explain the AB3, AB4, etc references that appear in each player's at bat box in the scorebook? Do these notations refer to the batter who moved them along the base paths?? Thank you

Yes - it would mean they moved to whatever base the notation is on during that player's at bat.
