Transfer Failed - can not import data where one of the teams

Post by Webster42 » Fri Sep 14, 2012 1:39 pm

Our team is switching iScore-keepers and in the process of transferring the games, teams, etc, from one iPad to another using "Get from Web Database", we encountered this error message on one of the games: "you can not import data where one of the teams has been deleted".

I don't know how this happened on the other iPad, but I can't get that game transferred on to mine. Is there any way to reconnect the game with a team so that the export/import will work?

Thanks,

Dave

If that scorekeeper did either an iScorecast or has their game synchronized to the server, you can do the same "Get from Web Database", but put "sc:" or "sync:" in front of the customer ID (e.g. "sync:1234567890" where 1234567890 is the actual customer ID and you include the "sync:" without the double quotes) to transfer the game that way.

We suggest never deleting teams (or any data other than possibly test data) from iScore as it takes up relatively little space.

There was an iScorecast of that game, so I was able to get it transferred using the "sync:" prefix.

Thanks for your help and quick response.
