Customer Number

Post by Chapin3 » Fri Sep 11, 2009 10:04 am

I love the fact that the website is coming, but the customer ID is sooooo small. Us older guys can hardly see it. Also, can you make the customer ID something like our email address instead of that random number.

When you say the customer ID is small, are you referring to on the device itself? or on the login screen for the website? The website we can enlarge. The Customer ID on your device can be found in a larger font if you go to the Options menu, and click the "i-ScoreCast" option. It will bring up the i-ScoreCast Info screen which shows your Customer ID in a larger font than the bottom left of the Options screen.

We will eventually allow users to set their login name to whatever they want. It will be a first come, first served option as we bring the paid portal up. The way it will work is instead of going to "my.iscorecentral.com" and logging in, you will be able to go straight to "my.iscorecentral.com/<myUserId>" where <myUserId> is your choice of user names. Our guess is people will be using their team names or some common name as this is where other members of the team would be able to go to view publicly viewable (or password protected) team data.

I was finding in the first options screen at the bottom which is where an earlier post recommended. It is bigger if you go to the gamecast screen

We added the ability to now use your email address instead of your customer ID if you would like when logging into the website. You need to use your customer ID to initially establish the account, but once it is established, you can use either your email address (the one you entered when registering) or your Customer ID to log in.

This way you don't have to memorize your Customer ID just to log in to the site.
