Duplicate players on Player Manager

New user. Just put in my 2nd game from STAT book. I went under 'Player Manager' and found my players duplicated, along with other team players names. I deleted other players and one of my own player'sduplicate name. Now it appears that player is only showing in 'Team Stats' as playing 1 game instead of 2 like the rest of his teammates, and his batting stats from one of the games was omitted.
Why the duplication? What did I do wrong by deleting what I thought was a duplicate of same player? How can I correct or put his stats back in? How can I prevent this from happening or should I expect to see an entry for each player for every game? Is there a help resource or reference to educate myself further?

It means you created the player twice instead of re-using the existing player from game to game. Instead of deleting the duplicates, you should use the "Merge" option on the Player Manager listing. On iOS, there is a Merge button in the bottom left. On Android, you press the menu button while on the Player Manager list, and a Merge option appears.

To undelete the players that you have deleted, do an Options -> Export from iScore, log in to the Admin Website for your device (http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), click the Maintenance link in the upper right, scroll to the bottom, and you will see the players you have deleted with the option to undelete them. Then do an Options -> Import in iScore to retrieve the data back to your device, and use the Merge option as described above to combine the duplicate players into a single player.
