My son's team is attending a national tournament this month that has an unusual roster requirement. All players on the team must have participated in at least 60% of the team's games this spring. We have to produce scorecards as requested for proof of participation. There are some message boards where people are supposedly joking about knowing how to manipulate iScore games to show participation for kids picked up late in the season. Personally, I am not worried about what other people do. If they feel the need to cheat the rules to get further in the tournament, I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it. However, with all the talk going around, I am worried that we might be accused of editing rosters. We have one kid who was injured during the season and missed significant playing time but has played in enough games to meet the requirements.
My question is if there is a way to prove that I have not edited games. Does the API contain any information on the last edited date? I have emailed myself the scorecards after each game so at least that is dated. Any other ideas?

Re: Last Edited Date
We just added a new value called "updated" to the Games listing on the Team Website API calls that shows the last date/time a game was updated. This is updated any time a change is made to a game. The value has always been there, but we were not showing it.
If you view the game listing with this URL (uses sample database):
http://api.iscoresports.com/teamwebsite ... &p=demopwd
You will see there is an "updated" value that holds a "unix timestamp" which can easily be converted to a local date/time.

Re: Last Edited Date
For anyone that uses iScorecast, we also have a "last update time" for any scorecast on the server. If someone does an "iScorecast Synchronize", it gets updated, but as long as they do not do that, it would be the actual date/time of the last scorecast event sent to the server for that game so could be verification that the iScorecast has not been tampered with.

Re: Last Edited Date
Thanks! That is great. I just checked mine and it works perfectly. I just dropped the query into Excel and converted the Unix timestamp into a readable date and there it was. Sweet. As always, you guys are the best.
Quick followup question, what date would show if a game was shared; the original date or the date the game was shared?

Re: Last Edited Date
A data transferred game will actually show the date of the transfer as the last update because it recalculates the stats after a transfer.
