Catcher / Positions in Boxscore

Post by KCunningham » Tue Apr 24, 2012 9:32 am

We email the boxscores to our local media after the game. They have asked why the positions are not on the boxscores. Particularly catcher for the game. That info is usually in the pitching information on other programs. I am new to the program, so maybe I am not doing something right.

We do not include defensive positions (other than Pitcher) because in youth ball many times the position will change every inning for every player, and it would make the box score unreadable to try and list the positions played.

Would it be possible to put in a field in the "Game Info" section where it could be manually entered, just like the winning and losing pitcher?

If you enter Notes, Location, Field Condition, and/or Weather, they are included on the box score now. So you can put catchers in the notes on the Game Info screen if you would like and they will be included in the Box Score.
