Seven inning with 22 out, impossible?

Weired but my fielding stat sheet for tonight's game shows 22 put outs? On the score sheet i see only 21, which in a 7 inning game there can only be 21. I think a PO has to match the total number of out? Assists can be any number because several can handle the ball on a player being put out but only one can be credited with the actual put out. The stat sheet show our SS with 4 PO's and I can only see three on the scoresheet..... Must be an Explanation for it, I just know of one?

I have seen this when there is a fielder's choice, but there wasn't an actual put out on the play.

For example, bases loaded, batter hits to second base who throws home but late so all runners safe. If you tap the players involved (eg, second then catcher), they get an assist or putout, when there was no out on the play.

So when there is no out on a fielder's choice, I don't tap on the fielders but just tap Done...

Yes, the screen that comes up for a Fielder's Choice asks you to "Touch each position that handled the ball in the order that the play occurred. Only include the positions involved in making the out(s)."

The second half of that statement is key... if there was no out made, you should not be tapping any positions.

Just to follow up, yes, the user had entered a Fielder's Choice safe with touches. Easy to correct it in Pitch by Pitch if you have done this. Just re-enter the Fielder's Choice and do not enter any "touches".
