Defensive innings tracking

Post by fvsledge » Tue Mar 27, 2012 9:48 am

I know that you can preset innings of a game by placing players into the fielding positions, but is there a way once the game is over to track how many innings per game a specific player was in the field. I also see there is that feature in the scorecard, but it only lists the innings they went in. It doesn't show "out" if they sat. For example: if a player starts at pitching in the 1st inning, sits the 2nd inning and then goes into SS in the 3rd inning the scorecard will only show 1 (position) and 1 (inning) and then right underneath it shows 6 (position) and 3 (inning). One would assume that the player pitched the first two innings and then went to shortstop in the third inning. Maybe I'm just missing something in the settings when reviewing the game?

If you email a player card to yourself, it does include a breakdown of innings/games played at each position, as follows:
Games Started
Games Appeared
Innings Appeared

It does not show "Out" breakdown for when a player was sitting. Also, its cumulative based on the selected league, not game specific.

Not sure if this helps you, but thought I would point it out...

Thanks for that info, but I need a game by game breakdown so I can track playing time per game to be fair with my players. It's a 9U travel league.

At the bottom on the play-by-play (can find on the admin website) for each game is a by-inning breakdown on who played where defensively.

Yeah, good call Team Mom.

I always forget about that. I find, I don't look at the play by play very often.
