Setting up lineups from roster

Post by jcalhoun » Tue Feb 28, 2012 8:57 am

I have a Droid 2. When I set up a lineup each game I have to re-enter our players' numbers after I have entered their numbers in the roster add area. Each time I go back to the roster their jersey numbers are listed as 0. Also, is there a way to change the default on the team roster to "not batting" or "out" instead of all listed as batting. Thanks.

For the first question, you can copy Lineup changes back to your roster by opening the lineup for a game, tapping the Options button, and tapping "Copy Lineup -> Roster". This will copy any edits you have made to the lineup back to your Roster.

To change batting defaults, go to Team Manager, select your Team, select Roster, and you can set your default Batting setting, lineup order, and fielding positions from there. Anything you set in the team roster becomes the default Lineup when you create a new game.

Thanks for your response. Maybe it's my computer illiteracy but I tried to set players' numbers, position being "out" and "not batting" and when I go to the team to create the lineup prior to the game all numbers are listed at 0 and each player is listed as batting. They do have positions listed though.

It is a 'workflow' thing i suspect..

On the handhold device, (data entry on the hand helps device not the admin web site)

LOGIC...
In TEAM MANAGER you set your TEAM ROSTER, (Name, #, Position, Left/Right, Bat etc. )
In GAME MANAGER you set your GAME LINEUP (aka your batting order and specific to that game)

THE WORKFLOW IS THUS
1) In TEAM MANAGER create your TEAM ROSTER, (Name, #, Position, Left/Right, Bat etc. )
2) In GAME MANAGER, Create a New Game, and select the team from the pick wheel.... it "pulls" in the TEAM ROSTER at that time, makes a copy of it and makes it your GAME LINE UP..

the two are now separate independent items. , If you change TEAM ROSTER it does not change GAME LINE UP, if you change GAME LINE UP, it does not automatically change TEAM ROSTER. to copy back the GAME LINE UP to the TEAM ROSTER you use Copy Line Up >> to Roster.

If you already had a game built with a team and edit the TEAM ROSTER in TEAM MANAGER, it will not change the game line up..

Hope that makes sense..
