Jersey Number (Home and Away)

Post by Frank » Wed Feb 22, 2012 12:44 pm

Our highschool team (sub varsity) has jersey for home and away; however, the numbers are different as well. Any suggestion on how to track both numbers and not duplicate players.

ie ( John Doe - 45 Away, 21 Home)

thanks

We do not track multiple jersey numbers at the Roster level for each player, but you can set the jersey numbers differently in the Lineup for each game. Internally, we use our own unique IDs for each player, so it does not matter what the jersey number is for each game for a player - we can still track cumulative stats for the player.

You could even do something like using a 4 digit jersey number for your players where it is the Home + Visitor jersey's combined... for example, if a player was "15" at home, and "25" on the road, you could use "1525" as the jersey number. This would just save you from having to update it on the lineup each game.
