What are the 5 little boxes in the lower right hand corner of each box (containg diamond diagram) for?

Those are for balls and strikes. Shaded strikes are strike swinging (pink) and foul balls (orange). Additional fouls (beyond 2nd strike) are indicated by an "x" in the bottom left hand corner.
