Winning/Losing Pitcher Selection

Post by fivesdad » Thu Mar 03, 2011 12:06 pm

One thing i would like to see is the ability to assign the win or loss to pitchers from either team, regardless of the score.

Sometimes in our drop dead timed softball games, the final score will revert back to the previous inning's score if the visiting team goes ahead in the top half of the last inning and the home team doesn't get the chance to complete it's home half inning and is still trailing when time expires. In this case, the winning team is actually the team that scored less runs than the losing team since the last inning is not considered.

Thanks...

If that half-inning doesn't count, then undo back through it. Then you'll be able to select from the correct team.

If this is implemented, I'd like it as an option to allow it, because the way it is now I think helps prevent errors.

Undoing that half inning will wipe out all the kids stats to that point which is not ideal. As it is now, i simply edit the W/L stats for my pitchers.

So the stats count but the inning doesn't? That's odd.

You can go into the Pitch by Pitch editor for the game, and set the runs in the top half of the inning to Run Not Scored if you do not want the runs to count. Does seem odd to "count the stats" if nothing else about the inning counts though.
