Player order when substituting.

Post by baerbob » Tue Jun 15, 2010 5:25 pm

is there a way to change the order players show up when performing a substitution ? Currently it just seems random.

by name or number would seem to make sense to me. I am constantly searching up and down the list to find a player.

Thanks, great app !!!!!!!

The players should be in the order you have them listed in the roster.

I set up the roster to reflect the batting order. Would it be better to set it up alpha because we change positions each inning?

The roster order is what is used as the default lineup, and is also what is used as the order for the players listed when substituting. So it is a tradeoff... if you know the team well, maybe the best bet is to list starters in the first 9 sports in the roster, then list the rest alphabetically.

Actually, the positions change each inning so I spend only one time to set up batting order but find myself searching each innings to make subs. I think it's better to list all Alpha and then easy to find subs. The batting order is only set up once per game.

one of the features on the FTM list for future enhancement (particularly helpful in little league) is to have a way to create pre positioning of fielders by inning. so not having to do all that on the fly each inning. not sure where that falls on the priority list, but it may help in your situation too.
