Opponents totals on team stats screen

Post by bmclaurin » Thu Jun 10, 2010 6:21 pm

Would it be possible to show opponents totals on the team stats screen? I'm suggesting that you consider adding a single row underneath the team totals row for batting, pitching, and fielding. And I'm only talking about totals for opponents in games against that particular team, not opponents games against other teams. It would be very helpful to determine if our team is out-hitting, pitching, etc., our opponents for whatever league is selected at the time. The data is already there, so it seems like it would be an easy thing to add. Or maybe give us an option of whether it should be displayed or not for those that don't want it. I realize that you could dig around and find it using existing capabilities, but that is clumsy at best.

EDIT: To illustrate what I'm requesting, assume my team has played a total of 10 games against, let's say, 6 opponents. And let's say that, in those 10 games, my team is batting .317, slugging .414, has scored 63 runs, recorded 54 defensive assists, committed 23 errors, and my pitchers have given up 44 earned runs. All of this is easily determined at a glance on the Team Stats screen. As interesting as those stats are to me, they would have much more context if I knew how my opponents--just in those same 10 games--performed in those exact same categories. I'm pretty happy with my hypothetical team's hypothetical .317 batting average, but it would mean a lot more if I knew my opponents batted, say, .284, in those same games. Right now, I have no convenient way to determine that information from iScore, even though the data is already captured. I don't necessarily care what my 6 opponents have done in their other 57 games.

Hope that makes sense.

We know what you are talking about, and it is a good suggestion. We have actually suggested to people in the past that don't care about individual stats from other teams to just create one team called "Opponent", and they can track the other team's stats that way.

We will add this idea to our list for future prioritization as well.
