Correct data entry mistake

Post by Chappy » Tue May 04, 2010 5:54 am

I am new to iScore. IF I forgot to enter a change in pitcher, is there a way to go back in a game and change the pitcher so my stats will be correct?

absolutely!

Go to Game Manager > Select Your Game > Choose Pitch-by-Pitch from Game Info Screen >

From here you see the pitch-by-pitch of the game you scored, scroll down to the specific pitch where you missed the substitution, tap on the event, to bring up the details edit screen. Tap on substituition "edit" > choose visitor or home > select the position to change > then select the player from list to sub in. you can do this with all position players. then work your way back to the game info screen ... (save > save > back).

The stats should be updated, to reflect new substitutions.

(sometimes extra calculations are needed, but generally not for substitutions, if so, to manually force a calculation update, you tap "play" at the game info screen to get back to the "game over screen", this triggers a re calculation of all stats for the game, from there, just exit, Ok, back to game info screen.)

I tried the scenario on my iTouch and the change took after I hit save, so this may be an iPad specific issue.

We will look into this issue. It should work fine on both devices, but if it is not working on the iPad, we will get it fixed ASAP. Thank you.

Was it ever confirmed that this is a bug on the iPad? I'm also trying to change a WP to a PB in pitch by pitch editor after game ended. It allows me to push the buttons, but the text does not change, nor do the stats.

This is one of several related glitches in the current iPad version on the pitch by pitch editor.

FTM has reportedly corrected in the pending next release ( no specific date given, just soon)

Precauitionary disclaimer...for advanced users...who have been impatient....
As posted elsewhere in the forum, some folks have instigated workarounds to 'data share' to an iphone to edit, while waiting on the bug fix/next update. Others have installed both the iphone and the ipad app on the ipad and edited i iphone version (caution, this is for advanced users). Always be sure to export a backup before trying such workaround....
