Entering substitutions after a game is over

I've read up on this and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here. I have a game that has already been played. I go back on the device in which the game was scored and in "play by play" I tap each new inning and enter the subs and tap save. It keeps changing them back to what they were before though? Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
