iScoreCentral; passing the login credentials within the URL
Re: iScoreCentral; passing the login credentials within the URL
Yes you can.. (including the start at beginning feature, replay =1)
Below is the general URL syntax...
If you have a team web site subscription service (extra $),
then you can pass url for game specific iScoreCasts. the syntax is
http://data.iscorecentral.com/iscorecast/player.html?c=XXXXXXXXXX&g=YYYYYYYYYYY&replay=1
(where XXXXXXXXXX is your customer ID and YYYYYYYYYYY is a game code generated from your team website)
If you do not have the team web site, just the free Admin Portal (http://my.iscorecentral.com/login.php)
you can pass a URL with your entire game set, the syntax is..
http://data.iscorecentral.com/iscorecast/player.html?replay=1&c=XXXXXXXXXX
(where XXXXXXXXXX is your customer ID)

Dude, do you ever forget stuff written here. you always seem to come up with the correct response!
thanks that worked.
Heres one for FTM (I think):
1. is there a way for a scroll bar to be added to the game list for iscorecast? some of my titles do not show who the game is against due to width of the display box.
2. is there a "quit" button in case you selected the wrong game and wanted to get back to the game listing?

For the scroll bar, are you talking about a horizontal scroll? Some of your game titles are too big to fit in the width allowed right now? If that is the case, we will see what we can do to add a scrollbar.

#1 - Yes FTM that is correct, horizontal scroll bar.
#2 - jcbeckman - cool, guess I didn't try that. How do you tell your team parents to do this? Not real intuitive, it works yes but should be a button on the GUI, imo.

Re: iScoreCentral; passing the login credentials within the URL
Since I don't have any team parents, I don't have that problem. I agree a button would be nice, and would love the horizontal bar, as all my game names are wayyyyyy too long for the space provided.
Re: iScoreCentral; passing the login credentials within the URL
echo the idea for horizontal scroll bar o iscoreCentral game menu. I never thought of that, simple but helpful. nice.
Team Sites
that said, I want to remind...if you go the "team web site" route, (i know it does cost some more $) you have a much more user friendly way for parents to choose games to view, and you can also send game specific URL links. (We rarely use the full game listing menu on iscorecentral now that we have games listed on team web site with one click launch of iscorecast).
While on iScoreCentral.. two notes
1) Do either of you experience the game names being "clipped" vertically in the menu in full screen mode? I find the font too small on my screen and when i go full screen, It clips them vertically, ....is this just me? Perhaps with a horz scroll bar, we could get bigger game name fonts?
2) I also find the icon for full screen to be 'less than intuitive', any one else? When we used the portal more, I had to explain the full screen icon more often than not, perhaps a small text label , FS or full screen would be nice. (but a very low priority).

1) haven't noticed.
2) Agree. I don't think about it because I know what it means now, but a label would be nice. There's certainly room.

#1 have not seen this issue
#2 Yes, I would agree, a more intuitive icon would be great or even a hover label would be good.
