Ipad

Post by mwhittington » Fri May 11, 2012 1:25 pm

I have Iscore for Iphone and it is great. I now have an Ipad. Is Iscore available for Ipad? Is it another purchase or will my current app run on the ipad?

Thanks

I have it for the iPad, and for my iPod it would be a separate purchase.

The iphone version will run on the ipad.

However, most would recommend you purchase the ipad version to enjoy the additional features and improved layout that results from having additional screen space.

I also have the iPhone app but what I don't like is both the iPhone app and the +IPad/IPhone app are the same price. :( Why Didn't iScore just update the iPhone app to be a + app and not confuse new users and most of all take an extra $10 off the users that already have the app?!?! :?:

the history on the two apps is long and not about the company price gorging. It is about Apple not letting the developers migrate old customer to new universal with out charging the consumer again. . FTM did not want to force old users to buy new version so they are trying to maintain both, for the benefit of the consumer.

the universal app is what everyone should be buying now

. I am not sure how, but Perhaps FTM could to make it even more visible on the App description, Please purchase the universal app if you are a first time buyer, the only ones that should get the iphone only app are prior owners just updating to new features. legacy suport for those that bought early and don;t want like MLB to have to re buy every year.

FTM launched iScore early and before universal apps existed, and they have said many a time. they tried to work with apple to "merge" the two products to one or something to ease the confusion but apple had a long technical reason why not.

Thanks for the insight. I've had the app when they came out and before ESPN picked them up. I understand Apple does some crappy things but Maybe the developer should offer a itunes gift code to redeem the universal app for the iPhone only app users. I get gift codes every week for music and games from Starbucks. If they truly care for the original users this would be a great gesture

i don't doubt the care that FTM has for its users.. they have shown in action and deeds over multiple years (as you know) .

this app has been updated well above the 10$ original cost and provides more than 10$ value in my opinion.

i do know the developers tried very hard to work with apple on ways to not have two versions. I got lost in the technical BS. and I did not believe it at first either. .Seemed to rational to not be a way.. but that is what apple and the developers said..

that said, since then , perhaps new methods like redemption codes or something has come up and perhaps FTM may re investigate. I know they have done great things for saving consumer double pay when they can on add ins and add ons. just for some reason the initial core app cost me twice. once for phone and once for iPAD. but heck i have it on 4 devices now and for 20$.. i do not feel taken advantage of.

...if we want to talk price pain, we can talk MLB at bat and MLB TV costs .. they are not so friendly.. ..

(FYI - I am not on the iscore payroll, I am just a long time user and fan)
