We submitted v3.0 of iScore Baseball for iPad and v3.0 of iScore Baseball for iPhone/iPod Touch to Apple tonight --- now awaiting their review.
Here are the highlights of what was added for this version:
- Landscape Mode (iPad Only) - You can now rotate your iPad and score in Landscape mode. This will help with those folks wearing polarized sunglasses and trying to use the iPad in Portrait mode
- Preset Fielders - For those that know how they plan to position fielders before the game starts, you can set your fielding plan for the entire game, and the fielding positions will be updated automatically each inning. (You can of course override your plan if things change)
- Softball Pitch Types - You can now put iScore in "Softball" mode and the pitch types will change to reflect softball pitches (Rise ball, etc)
- Email Game Links - Ever been scoring a game and heard someone relaying the game to their friends on the phone? Now just ask for the friend's email address and they can watch the game live in less than a minute
- Contact List - When sending stat emails, you can now select from your contact list instead of having to type each email address. iScore will use all email addresses associated with a name, so you can create "mailing lists" by adding multiple email addresses to a single contact entry
Also has bug fixes and smaller updates.

Fantastic news - can't wait for many of the new features.
I'm hoping that the pre-set fielders means we'll be able to setup scheduled games as well. Sounds like it. Cannot wait to start prepping the season!

Mentioned elsewhere in the forum, but not specifically here..
FTM has said 3.0 does include a new field on the game info screen to better handle "advance scheduling" of future games. (i suspect that falls under the heading "Also has bug fixes and smaller updates.")
I think it will satisfy your needs coach carl for advanced scheduling games and positions by inning .

This update should satisfy every concern I ever had.
Now one of the most useful apps on my ipad will now be even better.
Thanks for being one of the best iOS developers that I have seen or heard about.
Now if only you started building that Android version ...

They released the android version earlier in the month. did you miss that?
if you have an android device it is in the android marketplace and
there is an android specific thread on this forum and the end of the list, calling out devices it has been tested on by FTM and users.

I guess I did miss that! Thanks for the heads up.
That's what I get for popping in after 4 months off from coaching softball and looking at only 1 thread!
(off to check out the android app and thread)

Apple has approved the iPhone version, and we are expecting approval of the iPad version will follow shortly.
