iScore v2.75 submitted to App Store

Post by FTMSupport » Sun May 09, 2010 12:57 am

New version for iPad and iPhone both submitted to Apple tonight. The following are some of the highlights from this release:

Skins (iPad Only for now) You can now select a Light or Dark color scheme for the scoring screens. The Light screen is high contrast and works better in sunlight.

New Stats Batting: Reached on Error (ROE), Reached on Fielders Choice (FC), Catchers Interference (CI), Hit into Double Play (GDP), Hit into Triple Play (GTP), At Bats with Runners in Scoring Position (AB/RSP), Hits with Runners in Scoring Position (H/RSP), Batting Average with Runners in Scoring Position (BA/RSP). Pitching: First Pitch Strike (FPS), First Pitch Ball (FPB), First Pitch Strike % (FPS%), Ground Outs (GO), Outs in Air (AO). (NOTE: These stats are on device and part of the emails that are sent out. Will be added to Team Websites in a future update.)

Game Timer A running game clock is now displayed on the main scoring screen and shows how long the game has been running since "Play!" was pressed. When game is complete, shows total game time.

Team Color now Used (iPad only for now) The team color is now shown on the box score on the scoring screen, and in the Pitch by Pitch listing - helps quickly identify which team is at bat in the Pitch by Pitch.

Remember Customer ID Now remembers last entered Customer ID on data sharing screen to save typing for common transfers

Misc Bug Fixes several small issues dealing with tie breakers, screen refresh issues, 10th fielder showing in different location on sub screen, small run/earned run calculation issues, MLB stats - At Bats not showing correctly

Agree with Dan.
We don't often get to see software producers that actually implement what the users suggest. Now we wait on apple...

Wow, lot's of great improvements . . .

having a pitcher (softball) in the family, our pitching coach is always looking over my daughter's pitching stats - (thank you iScore) - 1st pitch strikes is very important to the coach, as well as "Strike to Ball ratio". She said that when she pitched in college, "her" coaches targeted a 3:1 Strike to Ball ratio. At this time, we just do a simple math operation to get this number - would it be possible to add this to the pitching stats line in iScore? Probably would be one of your easier requests. Are others interested in this stat?

Thanks for listening and reacting to "our" many requests.

Does this update fix either the "too many leagues" problem or the renaming of teams when updating the MLB data?

Has the inning recap screen been implemented yet?

I would like to add a 'me too' to help prioritize requests. I would like either a strike-ball ratio or strike% stat to be reported. I don't care which one, but that is a great stat to have at a glance. I can do the math, but I would like to see it on the reports. Thanks.

@Bryan - Inning recap screen is not in this release. We still have it on the priority list, and it is nearing the top (though there are still some folks that don't even like the idea as it just slows them down a bit -- it does not actually add functionality). We are hoping to have "preferences" in place soon that would allow people to decide if they do or don't want to see things like this.

@PetroGuy - We will likely add more "calculated stats" in a future version when we allow people to decide which stats they want to see. It is already quite overwhelming to some folks with the # of stats that are already displayed, but the reason we added the ones we did to this release is they could not even be derviced from existing data. We will be able to add many more derived stats when user selectability is in place.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
