Just for curiosity's sake, what all do you have on tap for the inning recap screen as of now?
Re: iScore v2.75 submitted to App Store
[quote="FTMSupport"]New version for iPad and iPhone both submitted to Apple tonight. The following are some of the highlights from this release:
If these are "some" of the highlights I must ask - did you add any way to get the per inning pitch counts?
Thanks for all the updates to an already great app. I am trying to find a way to make it the "official scoring app" for our league next year

Re: iScore v2.75 submitted to App Store
We did not add per inning pitch counts. The "other" items would be miscellaneous bug fixes for the most part, not new features.
The per inning pitch counts would be something in the half inning recaps (to answer Bryan's question a the same time). In addition, we would likely show runs scored, earned runs, balls, strikes, total pitches, left on base, due up, possibly RBIs. People have been asking for this feature for a while, and pitch counts being reported to umpires is really the first reason we have heard that this is truly useful. Otherwise it is pretty much just information you can see in the box score or other places on the device.

Re: iScore v2.75 submitted to App Store
fwiw...When I am scoring our games as the "official book" (home team) the Umpires are making me show them the scorebook pages for runs scored in that half inning. So I asked them if a recap screen with the type of information you are considering would also work. The umpire said yes. Something that shows what happened that half-inning as opposed to a total score - presumably because they couldn't add or had trouble with the small print at the top of the screen? Sorry Bryan - Couldn't resist.

i resisted.. now i must jump back in and come to the support of both coach and ump..
...... inning recap is "adding functionality".. great functionality. coach gave a great example.. many users have seen different benefits from it.. and in the eye of each . that is increased functionality and value.. how did we do, who is up next etc etc. (I know that is why it is near the top of your 'next time list'.
if the defense against it is waiting for preferences, as a fairly frequent user, have to vote that a button that says close recap screen is not too much 'extra time and input' in exchange for functionality we do not have.. hitting that button between innings is at a time when you actually have time to hit more buttons.. I see where adding it as an option helps.. but have a hard time justifying it as slowing down frequent users..

Re: iScore v2.75 submitted to App Store
If I had a choice, I would like to see:
Hits, Runs, Errors, LOB, Pitches, Earned/Unearned Runs for that half inning - nice to have - with some of the other cool information that others have suggested.
Next 4 batters, in a list, with what they have done in this game & for enabled leagues (more important - for me
)
To top it all off - tap a button to see my in-game notes - I use the notes extensively, but they do me no good if I can't get to them until after a game - or if I have to go into pitch-by-pitch to try and find them.
As OhioTex says - between innings is about the only time I have to look at this type of information and make additional notes & decisions based on this info.
Perfection would be to have a button in the Misc menu that would pull up this screen any time I wanted with a home/visitor toggle for any half-inning - including current. Then I can display it any time I wanted and those that don't want it don't need to see it.
I realize this is a lot to put on a small iPod screen - but if it were presented as a completly separate screen (say a Summary Page) it might lend itself to your "preferences" approach as well. We could pick and choose the items we want to see. (3 batters, 5 batters, pitch count, first-pitch/strike ratio, etc.)
Thanks for listening.

- #4 Sally (3) 3 for 4 (single,double,triple,Ks) 9 for 16
#16 Susie (4) 1 for 3 (Walk,Bunt,Ks,Kc) 10 for 14
#24 Jane (5) etc...
#12 Maddy (6)

Re: iScore v2.75 submitted to App Store
Thank you for the suggestions... this definitely helps us plan the best way to present the data and understand the use case.
fwiw... the iPad version makes a lot of this unnecessary as you always see the entire lineup of both teams, who is next to bat, and can click on any player in the lineup to see their player card / hit charts, etc. We know that does not help those with the iPhone / iPod Touch, but as you noted, an awful lot is being asked of the small screen... but we will see what we can do.

Re: iScore v2.75 submitted to App Store
And I'll see what I can do about convincing the wife to take my iPod so that I can get an iPad.
Thanks!

Thanks!
Re: iScore v2.75 submitted to App Store
Great suggestions from CSThunderCoach and OhioTex on the functionality of the inning recap screen. I have both versions but mainly use ipad now for the data on the screen. Unfortunately we don't have wifi to upload to iscorecast (YET). Agree with waht they have said. Wish we could get this before Little League District play starts in a few weeks (9 yo)
