iScore keeps crashing

Was attempting to score a game last night and the app crashed after the first inning when I went to edit the lineup at the break in an inning. Have attempted to re-open the game so that I can finish scoring it but the app keeps crashing. I've attempted to reopen the game from both the "game manager" and the "score a game" buttons. From the score a game button, I am able to select the game but when I touch the "next" button, the app crashes after about 4 seconds. When attempting to reopen from the game manager, I am able to select the game and get to the first page of information which offers the options to view the game record, Statistics, etc. All these statistics are viewable, however, when I touch the play button, it crashes. I have attempted to re-open several other archived games and they crash at the same point. I have a first generation 8G iPhone and am running software version 3.1.2. I have very little installed on this 8G phone, (6G free space). I've done all the restart scenarios as suggested on this form to clear the memory on my phone but can't get the games to re-open. Is my data lost forever? Do I need to re-install the app? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

WOW! Who are these guys in the support department. FIXED MY PROBLEM IN LESS THAN A DAY! A fantastic app that may have a bug or two but that is too be expected when you are constantly trying to update and add features to an application. My father always taught me that every company has customers who experience problems, the difference is how the company handles the problem. These guys have a great product and an even better service department. Five Star plus rating. Give the tech guys a raise in their salary please.

What did they do? Was it a memory issue? I've had a game crash out to main screen when I go to edit the lineup but it always comes back up if I have cleaned the memory prior to starting. I also put the phone in "Plane" mode to keep memory free.

In Scott's case, it was a very specific issue where jersey #'s had all become a -1. We repaired his data and he should be fine now. This was a rare issue we had previously identified, and is fixed in the 2.10 release that is awaiting Apple's approval.

99% of the time, if you have a crash, it will come right back up if you go into the application... it is usually a memory issue (as documented elsewhere). If people have an issue where it crashes every time they do something, that is the type of thing we really need to take a look at. At the moment, the leading cause of that seems to be Jailbroken devices. We believe version 2.10 also addresses the issues of crashing on Jailbroken devices (we had 2 users with jailbroken devices confirm that a Beta version of 2.10 worked on their devices).

I am glad FTM could solve your issue. The constant with FTM is the superb support. I could only hope every company was like theirs.

It shows when a company care about their product, beyond the economics. Heck, they even USE it. And this virtual community is a reflection of that spirit, overflowing with people who loves baseball, loves iScore and love to share their experiences, and help others with their knowledge.

Just an update. Scored a complete game tonight for our team without any crashes. In my book, the problem is solved. Thanks for the help tech support!
