Version 2.01 Approved Today

Post by FTMSupport » Sun Aug 30, 2009 8:21 am

There was an issue in the 2.00 release that could cause lineups to revert to the Roster order at the start of the game if you view Team Statistics.

We fixed this, and submitted it as an emergency bug fix to Apple on Thursday. They approved it today. Please make sure you upgrade to this version so you do not run into this issue.

We are grateful to Apple for getting this emergency fix out in just a few days time. We really believe that the iScore Community has made Apple start to take notice of our product --- the Ratings you guys have been giving have really been great. If you could update your ratings so it applies to the 2.01 release after downloading, that would be great.

We also squeezed a couple other minor fixed into the 2.01 update, but the above issue is the one that had the potential of really effecting a lot of people.

The other small issues are:

- Showing "Skipped Batter, Out" and "Skipped Batter, No Out" on the Scorecard

- iScore could crash if you delete a player from the lineup after they already batted (not quite sure why someone would do this, but it will no longer crash if you do)

- Fixed issue where using End Inning to completely skip innings with no pitches thrown could cause problems

Thank you again to the iScore Community for being so supportive of our efforts.

No thank you for such a great product!

I had experienced the lineup revert yesterday, but figured since I was a newbie it was something I did wrong. :)

Thanks again!

You guys really are amazing. I said that out of well over 100 apps on our two combined iPhones, this was my favorite and I meant it. The customer service alone would make me root for you even if your product were inferior. The fact that it is far superior to most (all?) apps in the iTunes library only makes it that much easier to stand behind my words. I've recommended you high and low. Most people are hesitant because it's such a new concept ("you mean on my phone and not in a scorebook? I don't know..."), but I'm sure they'll come around.

Please, please, please don't ever get too big that you lose the customer support that makes you so strong.

Thanks!

I've scored 5 or 6 games since I updated and have had the "lineup revert" problem. I wasn't sure if I was doing something. Now that I see the issue with viewing Team Statistics I feel much better. I tend to pop in and out of the stats/scorecard view often during a game. A lot of the people that sit near me will ask a question or some of the others that keeps score - on paper! - ask questions to make sure we're all in sync. I don't think I've had any games where I haven't looked at stats so that would explain my problem. I have the 2.01 version and will give it a try on Friday when our guys return from a road trip. Hopefully, the fix will solve my problems. Thanks FTM folks for the fast fix! You guys are awesome!

My wife and I are going to Camden Yards on Tuesday to see the O's and Yankees. Maybe I'll try to keep score and create the rosters on the fly. I haven't really tried that feature yet. I better re-visit the training video.
