iScorecast Preview

Post by FTMSupport » Sat Aug 01, 2009 8:34 am

We have posted an iScorecast game as a demo on our website at:

http://iscore.fasterthanmonkeys.com/screenshots.jsp

This is a replay of the 2004 ALCS Game 7 as scored in iScore Baseball.

(For anyone that viewed prior to this message, it now auto-starts the replay instead of starting as a completed game that you then have to press the "Replay" button.)

If anyone has an exciting game they would like posted as another iScorecast example for others to view, you can export your database and email us at support@fasterthanmonkeys.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false letting us know which game it is and your Customer ID, and we can post it. Everyone will be able to put up their own games once version 2.0 is approved, but if anyone is willing to share a game for our sample page, we will put it up.

Thank you.

I wish I could see the example. However, being a Yankees fan, I can't. You couldn't choose a more neutral game? :P

I couldn't resist sneaking a peak though, and it looks awesome! This is by far the most exciting feature of 2.0 and I hope it's getting the attention it deserves, both by users and by the developers. I'd love to see the pitch tracking data, spray chart data, and in game box scores displayed in future versions.

With apologies to Yankees fans, we wanted to post a memorable game. As noted above, we will gladly post any game from users that would like to contribute. Just export and email us as noted in the message above. Thank you.

One of our developers attended and scored the Brewers at Padres game today, and we have now posted that on the site as well for anyone that would rather not relive the 2004 ALCS game.

I have no idea of the requirments, so I hope this is not too unreasonable, but could the scorecast site be modded to work on mobile devices? I know some sites have version of their original sites specifically for mobile devices.

Thanks for a great product and keeping my fingers crossed on version 2.0 :)

For now, viewing of iScorecasts are done with Flash which does not run on the iPhone. We will have more ways of viewing game output as we finish up the web offering, and these will be compatible with many mobile devices, but the iScorecasts will only be in Flash for now.

When i ran the example demo "2004 ALCS Game 7 - Red Sox at Yankees" posted on their web site at http://iscore.fasterthanmonkeys.com/screenshots.jsp
they called out balls and stirkes, etc (yes has voice) but did not show the picth type or speed.

I suspect FTM will add more bells and whistles to iscorecsst over time. (and as it is web development work, will not be subject to apple review constraints).

iScorecast does not currently show the pitch location/type/speed details, but we will be adding that in the future.

I would like to hear more crowd noise differences (ie loader for double than single. I noticed when a strike out happens, there is no crowd reaction. Hit by pitch could have boos. Just a thought. Love the new things though
