I have looked in the forums, but I did not find a good answer to the question. Our kids will play three types of tournaments as 8U this year, Coach Pitch (wear a coach pitches to our Kids), machine pitch (self explanatory) and kid pitch. The trouble is you have a fielder playing the position of pitcher when you have a coach or machine pitching. So therefore, that player gets the stats for pitching. So as a result, the pitching stats for that kid are incorrect. Is there anyway, we can fix and/or adjust that? Last year as 7U, I just hit the pitcing status because we played no kid pitch tournaments, but as 8U will will play at least three. The rub is, there are many plays made at the pitcher spot, so not having a player there skews the fielding stats. Thanks in advance for your time.

Unfortunately there is no great way to both have a pitcher and not have a pitcher. Here are a few ways that come to mind:

1. You can use leagues to group your games according to the type of game it is, and then view stats for just a particular type (i.e. league called "Coach Pitch", one called "Machine Pitch" and one called "Kid Pitch"). You can then view stats for just each individual game type, or for all types or any combination of types by turning on/off the leagues

2. You can set the Coach Pitch on Walk option, and set # of balls for walk to 0. This will still record the first pitch to each batter against the pitcher position, but then will change to "Coach". This could be used for both machine or coach pitch.

3. You can create a player called "Coach" and/or "Machine" and have that player at the pitching position (but not playing offense). When a play to the pitcher occurs, you can sub in the actual player just to enter the defensive play, then sub back in the coach or machine.
