I just purchased a brand new Kindle Fire HDX 7" Screen and downloaded iScore v4.43.217 from the Amazon App Store since my previous purchase for the android platform from the google store can't transfer to the Amazon Product.

I scored a game on Thursday.

FIrst problem: When holding the Kindle in "portrait" orientation and opening iScore the app loads to the main page UPSIDE DOWN which necessitates turning the Kindle (in its protective case) upside down (portrait).

Second Problem: In the "large Screen" option it is easiest to rotate the Kindle to "landscape" (NOT a problem). However, when the ball is put into play either by tapping "inPlay" or Out - the screen immediately flips "UPSIDE DOWN" (maintaining Landscape view) again necessitating rotating the Kindle "UPSIDE DOWN" in order to continue scoring the play. THe Kindle and the screen remain "in sync" until the next time "in play" or "out" is tapped at which time the screen flips upside down again.


Third Problem: I tried using the app in "Large Screen" With the Kindle (hardware) upside down in "Portrait" so that the iScore App software would be oriented correctly. This worked ok until tapping "in Play" or "out" at which time the screen flipped upside down. When I turned the Kindle (hardware) "right side up" the iScore app screen flipped back to "upside down" necessitating turning the Kindle (hardware) upside down in "portrait" to continue.

Fourth Problem: Once the Kindle was upside down and the App screen sync'd up I could rotate the Kindle to Landscape (camera lens @ top of screen "UP") the App would "reorient" itself to landscape but upside down necessitating rotating the Kindle 180 degrees (camera lens to the bottom) to see the screen properly.

Note: I didn't have any issues when using the "small screen" option.

Note 2 (2/28/2014): latest version 4.44.224 auto updated earlier this week problem as described still persists.

Any update to this?
I just purchased a 7" HDX as well, hope I don't see these problems.

In "small screen" do you still get more options than say on a phone platform?

Unfortunately Amazon did not follow all Google specified standards for Android on their devices, so there are some oddities that show up occasionally. We try and keep up with all of them, but it is hard with the number of devices that come out. If Amazon would follow the Android standards, there would not be an issue. We have purchased about 6 different Amazon Fire devices as they have come out for our developers, and will continue trying to account for their oddities as we release updates.
