Same Error

Runner on Second, 0 out.
Batter lays down sacrifice bunt but is safe on E4 catching toss by first baseman. Runner scores on same error. Batter advances to second on Same Error.
I entered 3-4 so that the first baseman would be credited with an assist.
The initial error was assigned correctly, but on the subsequent "Same Error" advances, the Error was listed under the first baseman. Statistics showed the error unassigned to a specific player.

If you can do an Options -> Export and email your customer ID to
support@iscoresports.com along with what game, inning, and play this occurred on, we can take a look at the data to see what is going on.

When I enter the play the stats come out correctly
> In play > safe error>

> safe second same error >
Stats give 1 assist to first basemen and 1 error to second basemen - as expected.
The batter gets a ROE and no RBI -as expected
May want to double check the keystrokes you made and see if you Can you reproduce

I did the keystrokes as mentioned above but...
Sorry...the game is finished, and I changed the runners advancing on "Same Error" to "Advanced by Batter" so it wouldn't credit the wrong player with an error. Now, it won't give me the option to change it to "Same Error."
If it happens again, I will email it to you.

If you entered the sequence as described the stats should be as expected…
If you entered the sequence correctly except used "Advance by Batter" instead of "Same Error" .. you should be able to go into "Pitch-by-Pitch/ Edit Game " and adjust it back to "error" if you want to post game.. Yes, you are correct you will not see a "same error" button, but just use the normal "Error" button and nd be sure to follow it by taping the same players (i.e. 1b and 2B) involved in the error again (i.e. 3-4 ). do this for both the entires "# Player X scores" (i.e. player at 3rd) , and "# Player Y advances to second" (i.e. the batter)..
…
? @FTM Support… Is it by design the pitch by pitch editor does not contain "Same Error" box or is that something that should be considered in future update..?
……..
@ mjacton… I still contend if you enter the key strokes in the right sequence, the stats only credit the right people once. but if you can produce a dummy game and repeat the sequence to prove otherwise , that would be helpful to debug any potential mistakes in the code. or to convince your self the right keystroke sequence does produce the stats as expected. …

Editor will not have "same error" because editing is done out of context of play entry. When entering a full play, things are done in a certain sequence that is guaranteed that makes same error work. When editing, you can edit things out of order, and that makes same error not function correctly.

Thanks for clarification. No "same error" in editor. Got Ya.
That said It looks like the 'traditional' logic for error still holds ... If you use error multiple times on a continuous play with the exact same touches iScore knows to not double count. .
So as said in prior post , the user can edit a play and if consistent in assigning same people the touches on error. It is not double counted . As expected.
And if it were, you can always over ride stats manually if needed
So all seems- good from my use and tests

Okay, so it happened again, but this the iphone app is calculating all the stats correctly and the Pitch-by-Pitch is correct as well.
However, the iscorecast is assigning the "same error" to the wrong player in the following scenario.
Runner on first base. Runner on second, no one out.
Batter hits a ground ball to the pitcher who throws to first. The first baseman misses the throw for an E3.
Sequence:
In Play
Error
1-3
Runner Scores on Same Error
Batter reaches second on Same Error.
I'm Exporting and e-mailing my customer ID.

I still can not replicate your issue.
When I score the play the first basemen gets the error - as expected. ( and the pitcher the assist)
