Here's a team with 9 players only.
During the third inning, a player was injured and couldn't finish the game.
This player was batting 5 on the lineup
The coach is alloud to choose a player in the stand waiting to play the next game scheduled

As the scorekeeper, this is what I have done :
For the injured player, at BATTING, I putted NO
The sub player was add as the 9th player in the lineup, batting last

My question :
Could I add the sub player batting 5th instead of last in replacement of my injured player who is now "BATTING" "NO"... without mixing the stats of all the players?

Seems like this should be a straight substitution. Leave the original player in the 5th spot with batting= YES. Add the player from the stands to the starting lineup with batting = NO. Then sub the newly added player into the 5th batting spot.

Any changes to the starting lineup (i.e. batting yes/no, starting defensive positions, etc) affect the STARTING lineup and are effective at the beginning of the game. Any changes later in the game should be handled via substitutions.

FTMSupport : : doing it your way would mean I wont have to "skip the batter" at each time... the injured palyer would had been replaced in his turn to bat by this new added player through the substitution action... sounds good!!
