Situation 1:
In scoring a game the other day, I had this situation:
Abel singles
Abel advances to 3rd on E1 (throwing on the pickoff attempt)
Baker flies out. 1 out.
Charles singles, Abel scores.
Daniel strikes out and Charles steals 2nd. 2 out.
Edward pops out.

Abel would not have been out without the error (which is how I answered the question), but without the error he likely wouldn't have scored (A double steal is unlikely, and he'd either be on 2nd or 3rd due to Charles' single). This was a MiLB game, and I checked the official score and it showed the run as unearned; however, it was calculated as earned by iScore. I know that at the time it scored iScore could not know if it was earned or not (if Charles homers, Abel is earned; as the inning happened he wasn't) so perhaps that's the problem. Still, I wanted to mention it.

Situation 2:
This is only a scorecard error. The run is shown as unearned there, but in the box score it's earned. I tried to start a new game and recreate the sequence of events, but that one was shaded properly. The sequence was:
Abel strikes out.
Baker strikes out.
Charles singles.
Daniel walks, Charles to 2nd.
Edward singles. Charles scores, Daniel out at the plate 8-4-2.

Any help would be appreciated!

Situation 1 is one of those cases that iScore can not know if the run would have scored without the error. If the runner would have been out if not for the error (i.e. answering yes when asked that questions), then iScore would clearly know the run was unearned. But since the runner would not have been out, iScore can not know if the runner would have scored without the error. You can override the stats directly if you as the scorekeeper determine the run would not have scored.

For situation 2, we just tried your exact scenario and it is showing the run as earned both on the scorecard and for the pitcher in stats. We tested on an iPhone device. What type of device are you doing this input on?

iPad, using v4.04.

I'm with you...I tried to recreate it but couldn't. Not sure what happened in the game.

I had another instance of the second issue (earned run properly counted in stats but shown as unearned on scorecard). Once more, I was unable to reproduce it in a test game. If it's possible to "export" the game for further analysis, then I'll be glad to do so...just let me know what to do.

FWIW, the situation was:
Abel flies out
Baker walks
Charles hit by pitch; Baker to second
Daniel strikes out
Edward singles to right; Baker scores, Charles out 9-5.

Baker's run was before the tag on Charles.
The stats properly charged an ER, the scorecard shows unearned.

This is with iScore 4.10 on an iPad.
