Upgrade lost everything

Softball is finally starting again.
I open up iScore and I now have 2.02.11 and all the data is gone (sort of).

When I go to team manager, I see 12 lines (teams) with no name, it the button to unlock then delete.

I have no games, no players, no stats.

I have tried the import, and nothing changes.

Please help.

Thanks.

Do you happen to have a jailbroken device? This sounds similar to what people with jailbroken devices have experienced. We believe our next release (version 2.10) addresses this. There is something about the SQLite engine on jailbroken devices that is causing this (Apple obviously won't help us with it), so we have included our own version of the SQLite engine instead of relying on the one on the device itself. This seems to help.

If you DO have a jailbroken device, and can email us directly at support@fasterthanmonkeys.com, we may be able to help. If you do NOT have a jailbroken device, please let us know that too so we can try and find another suggestion.

Thank you.

deanhoyt- I hope FTM can fix your issue. I know they will try their best.

For everyone - as the data in this app starts to have value, (multiple seasons and many games and lots of stats)...
Data protection and backup become an issue. As such, I recommend doing a manual (just in case) export periodically and before you do an update to a new version. If something happens, then FTM can recover the data for you. I have started doing an export after a long weekend of games as a backup strategy to protect against a lost, dropped or damaged unit.
(perhaps the button should be labeled backup/export?)

yes itunes has some (not well documented) backup and recovery procedures for folks who synch their unit with a computer. but the iscore export/ import process is much easier and quicker and more reliable for iscore.
I highly recommend periodic exporting as a 'standard operating procedure' for folks who score a lot of games and store a lot of info.

by the way, I am on a non jail-broke unit, and have safely updated multiple versions and not lost data
