Caught Stealing Scorebook bug?

I had a runner on second who tried to steal third. Clicked on the runner, then clicked OUT and clicked caught stealing. All seemed OK but when I look at the scorebook, it shows the runner advancing to second (as it should have) but then it shows the runner getting caught steeling from first to second. The play by play says "Caught stealing at second".
How should you score a failed steal attempt of third (or any base for that matter).
Thanks,
Russ

Click the base they were headed to before selecting "caught stealing".

Correct... always click the base they were heading to when you use caught stealing. If they were caught at the base they were already on, use pick off.

Is there a way to fix it now that the game is complete? I seem to do this a lot (forgetting to click the next base). Did this a couple times with steals, forgetting to advance the runner and wound up with a couple "stole first base plays". I was able to fix/remove those in pitch by pitch. However for this one, there doesn't appear to be any way to change the base in the pitch-by-pitch edit.
Not sure why app cannot automatically advance the runner for both "caught stealing" as well as "stolen base" but perhaps there is a scenario I am not aware of that prevents this.
Russ.

Unfortunately there is not a way to change from caught stealing at one base to caught stealing at another. If you catch it during the scoring, you can use undo to fix it, but after the fact, you can not change the "result" of a play, only what occurred. So if there was an "out at second", you could change from Forced Out to Tagged Out for example, but you could not change the base the play actually occurred at.
We will continue working on ways to expand the editing capabilities. Thank you.

Can you go back and change a successful stolen base to caught stealing? I'm thinking you can't, but I want to make sure.

no, you cannot edit a play from safe to out (or any "game changing event, like adding outs, runs, etc) as it would have consequences to later plays (i.e. 4 outs in an inning.)
