Anyone know if the pitch location data is accessible via the API or some other means?

It is not currently accessible via the API, but we may add that data in a future update to the API.

You can view pitch locations on the iScorecast, the Pitch by Pitch (both on devices and emailed), and on the PDF Scorecard (page 3).

Yes, visually, the scatter chart on the scorecard is what I am wanting. But I am wanting the data from the batter's perspective. I want to know what pitches they are hitting, what they are swinging and missing, and what they are watching go by; all by individual batter.

I guess I can manually compile this from the "pitch by pitch" but if this data was eventually available, that would be outstanding.

Have you looked into the analytics add-ons?

viewforum.php?f=19" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yes, and I'm not against doing that, but I don't like the idea of purchasing a product that can get to the data on my device that I can't. Secondarily, those services, which I'm sure are very good, are charging mostly for analysis. I just want the data to perform my own analysis. I guess what I am saying is, I don't want to pay someone for a service I can do myself.

Sounds like you are against doing that... :-)

Understood, just wanted to make sure you were aware of their existence.

BTW, here's kind of what I am looking to do. This is pretty rough, but I want to be able to query the pitch location data by any number of variables.

The question I have i have not been able to find the answer. I can't see pitch location from the dugout. I want to video it from behind the backstop and then go through the game and enter the pitch locations for each batter after the game I want to let players see what they are swinging at or not. Trying to help them make good decisions at the plate. It this possible?

It is, you can do this in play-by-play edits.

I think it would be tedious work, but would be more accurate.
