Illegally Batted Ball & Infield Fly Rule

Haven't seen these mentioned, but if I missed it, my apologies.
I had a situation this weekend where the batter was called out for stepping out of the batter's box to hit. My understanding is this is an illegally batted ball and the put-out goes to the catcher. I ended up calling it runner interference, but that's not correct.
Also, on the infield fly, we should be able to mark the players involved in the play. Remember, even if the ball is dropped, the player who SHOULD have caught the ball gets the put-out.
Thanks,
Eric
