Issue syncing data between iPad and iPhone

I have set up teams and rosters using my iPad and they have synced to my iPhone. I scored our first game using the iPad and "ended" the game and emailed out the stats from the iPad, all looks good. I try to sync the completed game with the iPhone and the game shows up on the iPhone but as un-played. None of the scoring has been migrated to the iPhone. Is this normal? Can I sync a completed game between devices? How? Thank you!

We don't have a "sync" option for transferring games between devices. We do have a "Data Share" option. You can data share games between devices. If the game already exists on the device you are trying to copy the game to, you must delete it from that device before trying to data share it a second time.

Here is a link describing how data sharing works:

Thanks for the link. The delete is the key if the game already exists on the destination device. You should add to the instructions on your data sharing FAQ page that games can't be shared/merged/updated if the same game already exists on the destination device and that if you delete the game it will then be shared properly.

It is mentioned there, (quote below with emphasis added) .. but perhaps not direct enough. did not pop out, that is why the support forum is manned with live help
Once the connection is established, the device that is "getting" data will see a list of all Games and Teams that are on the remote device, but have not already been transferred to the local device.
