Admin site edits

Post by team mom » Wed May 11, 2011 6:22 pm

I added a team on my iPad and used quick roster. Later I was able to find the team roster online and updated the names on the admin site. I then imported to the iPad. The issue I have is that the edited player names are not listed in player manager. They are there in the team roster however. I even tried to create a fake game and used copy lineup but that didn't do anything. I have checked all leagues so that is not the issue. Thanks.

When you use "Quick Roster", we create the players with a special flag internally saying it is a "quick roster player" so you do not see "Player 1" listed 20 times for example in your Player List. When you edit a quick roster player's name on the device, it clears the flag so the name will appear again. We do not do this when editing on the Admin Website.

So if you go into the team roster, select a player, and edit there name, then Save, it should clear the "quick roster player" flag, and you should then see the player in Player Manager. You can change the player name by adding a space to the end of the name. Or you can add a letter, save, then remove the letter and save again. Anything that will let iScore see the name has changed, and then saving.

Tried both options and did not see the players in player manager.

If you can do an export and email us your customer ID and an example of a player that is not showing, we can take a look.

After you transferred all my data to my new ipad, and since it was just one team, I deleted the team and re-entered the correct way. If you just want to investigate what the problem is in case it comes up again for someone else, I can send you the ID for my old device, which still has the original team.

Sure... if you could send us that and let us know which team / player we should look at, we will take a look. Thank you.
