Scorecard Printing

Post by jjacobs » Wed Apr 13, 2011 6:31 am

When I email myself the scorecard it is produced on an 11x17 document toward the bottom half so when I print it is cut off. Is there a setting I am missing that will allow me to change the output of the scorecard?

are you talking about the HTML in the email or the PDF scorecard?

. the PDF scorecard should 8 1/2 by 11. (unless your device or printer setting is changing it).

the HTML email is wider than normal, because of the extended stat columns available. it is formatted for easy cut and paste into other programs for print manipulation but not formatted well for direct printing from email, due to the number of stats columns width.

We also adjust the size of PDF as necessary to fit all your data. The 8 1/2 x 11 is used for a 9 inning game with up to either 12 or 13 players. If you go more than 9 innings, or have more players batting than either 12 or 13 (don't remember which off hand), then the paper size is increased.

You can reduce the size of the printed page to fit 8 1/2 x 11 even when the page size is increased in your printer settings when printing.

another thought i had, make sure you are on the latest version of iscore v 3.16 for iPad.
(if i recall v 2.85 for iPad had a bug fix for score book paper size for iPad not being 8 1/2 by 11).

I am talking about the pdf scorecard and I am using android v3.15.157. I checked all of my printer settings and they are set to the default 8 1/2 x 11. We play seven inning games and only use 9 players. It wouldn't be an issue but the scorecard itself is located in the lower left corner of the page so about the top half of the page is blank so it cuts off the bottom half of the card. Any other thoughts?

If you can do an Options->Export and email us your customer ID and which game you are having trouble with the PDF for, we can take a look. Send the email to support@iscoresports.com.

Now after tonight's game the file came through set on standard paper. Thanks for the help and great application. Saves me 40-50 minutes every night after a game.

I'm having the exact same problem. Sometimes iScore generates 8-1/2 x 11 pdf's, other times they are 11 x 17, other times they are somewhere in-between. The actual output should easily fit on 8-1/2 x 11, and most of my scorecards do. 6 innings per game, and 10-12 batters. Whatever library you're using to generate the pdf is occasionally screwing up the size calculation.
