On today's game's scorecard, for some reason it shows the 3rd and 4th hitters "subbing" for each other when in fact they never moved in the lineup. In other words, in the 3 spot it shows the 3rd hitter and then the 4th, and in the 4 spot, it shows the 4th player and then the 3rd. (There were defensively moved during the game, just as everyone else in the game moved around). Any idea what would cause this? I've gone through the play-by-play and the 3 and 4 hitters never moved, and their stats look correct. One last note...the game ended after 5 due to slaughter and I had defensive subs preloaded - I wouldn't think that would matter.

Batting positions would not swap without subs.

We would recommend going to Game Manager, select the game, select Pitch by Pitch, tap the "Game Starts" event, and tap Edit next to Starting Lineup. Make sure the players are in the order you expect. If they are not fix, them, and you should be done. If they are, then back up to the Pitch by Pitch, and scroll to any "Substitution" events and click Edit next to those and make sure the players are not inadvertently be subbed for each other in one of the substitution events.

I figured it out...I forgot that the #3 hitter was used as a pinch runner for #4 at one point in the game. I was able to find this by doing Undo all the way back to that point and checking the revised scorecard periodically until I could see when the "problem" event occurred.

If the #3 batter was used as a runner for the #4 batter, it sounds like it may have actually been a "courtesy runner" situation. When a runner is on base, and someone comes in to run for that player (many leagues allow a courtesy runner for a Pitcher and/or Catcher), you would tap the runner, then use the Courtesy Runner option, and it will leave the players in their batting order, yet allow the player to run for the original player.

nice trouble shooting, if not already, you may want to start to get more familiar with reviewing pitch by pitch, it is a good way to back trace too. and can fix substitutions after the fact. (not as sure on courtesy runners)

in the stats, if the courtesy runner goes on to score gets the "R", like wise if he gets a steal or caught stealing, his stats will show it. the original batter gets the At bat..

With courtesy runner, the courtesy runner is credited with what he (or she) does on the base path.
