When using a courtesy runner, iScore will grant a Run Scored by that runner to the Courtesy Runner, however, the run should be granted to the Person reaching base, not the person running for him. However, if the CR is thrown out attempting to steal, or is picked off, the out is recorded to the CR, not the batter.

Example 1
The catcher hits a single. Courtesy runner enters for the catcher and the next batter hits a home run. The catcher should be granted the RS.

Example 2,
The catcher hits a single. Courtesy runner enters for the catcher and is caught stealing. The caught stealing stat goes to the courtesy runner.

As far as I can tell, iScore incorrectly scores Example 1, I'm not sure about Example 2.

What is your reference showing that a courtesy runner scoring should be credited with a run? Our understanding is the original batter gets credit for what he does, and the courtesy runner gets credit for what he or she does on the basepath. All stats once the courtesy runner comes in go to the courtesy runner. If you have an official reference that shows otherwise, we would like to see the reference. Thank you.
